Who We Are

Suraiya Johnson is a French-American artist, entrepreneur, and founder of Kezio Media. Born in Mauritius and raised in France, she later studied in both the French Riviera and Paris before building a career in Arizona. Her creative journey has always been guided by curiosity, storytelling, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

A passionate adventurer, Suraiya spends her winters in Arizona and her summers in Munising, Michigan, where she and her husband embrace the beauty of the Upper Peninsula. What began as a hand-painted camper van featuring local landmarks soon grew into an entire collection of artwork inspired by the region. Today, her Upper Peninsula Collection includes original paintings, postcards, books, stationery, gifts, and outdoor-inspired merchandise featured in several local stores throughout Munising.

In 2025, Suraiya founded Kezio Media, naming the company after her children, Kezia and Vito, who continue to inspire everything she creates. Kezio Media brings together her passion for art, travel, innovation, and practical design through products that celebrate adventure while helping people prepare for it safely.

Alongside her creative work, Suraiya has built a career in aviation and customer service, supporting travelers from around the world with compassion, efficiency, and problem-solving. Those experiences, combined with her love of exploring new places, inspired the development of purpose-driven safety tools designed to make every journey a little easier and more enjoyable.

When she isn't creating, you'll likely find her hiking, kayaking, camping, rock climbing, painting, cooking, or discovering a new corner of the world. She believes every adventure tells a story, every destination deserves to be remembered, and the best designs are those that are both beautiful and useful.

Through Kezio Media, Suraiya hopes to inspire others to explore with curiosity, travel with confidence, and bring home meaningful memories from every adventure.
